Tricone Group played a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Bhendi Bazaar in South Mumbai, one of Asia’s largest and most complex urban renewal initiatives. Covering approximately 16.5 acres in a historic neighborhood, the project replaced structurally unsafe, densely packed buildings with thoughtfully planned residential and mixed-use developments, while preserving the social, cultural, and religious fabric that has defined the area for generations.

Our team led master planning, site development, design, engineering, and phased construction, ensuring precise execution in a densely populated and sensitive urban environment. Working closely with the Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust, residents, and local authorities, Tricone facilitated the relocation of over 1,700 families into temporary, fully furnished housing and delivered new homes exceeding regulatory size standards. Continuous engagement and transparent processes maintained trust and continuity throughout the redevelopment.
Through these efforts, Bhendi Bazaar is being transformed into a safer, more livable,and culturally preserved neighborhood. The project demonstrates Tricone’s ability to combine technical precision, design foresight, and sensitivity to heritage and community, delivering enduring value for both residents and thecity while respecting the history and significance of its landmarks.
